KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs and Community Blood Center are teaming up for their 12th Annual blood drive.
The event runs from Monday, Nov. 23rd through Saturday, Nov. 28th. If you want to catch a former Chiefs player, you'll want to keep track of their schedules at the 4040 Main Street location:
Former Chiefs Larry Marshall and Dave Lindstrom, 11 a.m. to noon, Monday, Nov. 23.
Tony Adams, noon to 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23.
Running back Kolby Smith, noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24th.
Danan Hughes, 11 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Nov. 25
Chiefs Day will be Tuesday, Nov. 24th, and will include a free tailgate lunch at all CBC locations. Everyone who registers to donate will receive a free Chiefs T-shirt and can register to win tickets to the Chiefs game this season as well as autographed memorabilia.
"That's a time we typically struggle with blood donations," said David Graham, Vice President, Hospital and Donor Services for Community Blood Center. "One of the things that have stayed the same over the twelve years is the unbelievable support of the Chiefs organization and the players.”
To donate: you must be at least 16 years-of-age, weigh a minimum of 115 pounds and be in generally good health. In only 45 minutes you can donate whole blood and save a life.
