Fire Causes $12,000 in Damage to Vacant House

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Fire investigators say a fire caused approximately $12,000 in damage to a vacant house.

Firefighters were called to 1981 Troup Ave. around 2:34 p.m. on Friday.

When crews arrived, they found the house completely involved in fire.

The house was vacant with no utilities in the building. There were also no smoke or fire detectors inside.

The fire caused an estimated $12,000 in damage to the house.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
