Dr. Mehmet Oz, the TV doctor seen weekdays from 3-4 pm on NBC Action News, got a swine flu shot, but his wife and children will go without the vaccine.

Why?

Oz suggests that swine flu will not greatly affect you if you follow the proper procedures of hand washing, using sanitizers and getting proper sleep.  However, Oz does suggest pregnant women get the vaccine.

Saturday, Dr. Oz will be visiting Kansas City, and he's featuring the safety of tap water in an upcoming show.
