KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After days of winter weather, road crews in both Missouri and Kansas appeared to be catching up Sunday afternoon.
As of 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Kansas crews were able to re-open all roadways closed by the holiday storm.
Several Kansas highways had remained closed Saturday as Kansas Department of Transportation crews tried to clear away the snow.
Portions of Interstates 70 and 29 were closed Saturday as crews were unable to keep up with blowing snow and drifting snow conditions.
As of Sunday morning, most metro area interstates had been mostly clear, though authorities are still advising caution on side streets, some of which have yet to receive attention from snow plows.
