DE SOTO, Kan. – Deputies wrote 81 traffic citations this week during just 5 hours of special enforcement on K-10 Highway this week.
Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff Deputies conducted two days of a special enforcement on K-10 Highway near De Soto, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Monday and Wednesday this week.

71 – Speeding Citations
5 – No Insurance Citations
2 – Flashing Headlight Citations
2 – Driving on a Suspended License Citation
1 – License Plate Citation
Deputies are doing these enforcements in an effort to encourage motorists on this highway to slow down and be cautious on this stretch of roadway known for high speed traffic.
