KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Mayor Mark Funkhouser will have help making his Christmas tree sparkle this holiday season.

Mayor Funkhouser just announced controversial radio hose Chris Stigall will flip the switch on the Christmas tree lights at Crown Center this year.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is Friday, November 27th at Crown Center Plaza. The event is free, but everyone is encouraged to bring a toy, coat, book or a cash donation to help the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund charity. This year, the fund will benefit Project Warmth, Toys for Tots, and Hooked on books.

This is the 131st Mayor's Christmas tree for the city.
