KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Rescue crews are trying to find a car that reportedly went into Longview Lake.

Authorities say a man called 911 just after 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, reporting he saw a white vehicle go into the lake where Mouse Creek feeds the lake.

The location is near Longview Road and Raytown Road.

After discovering tire tracks leading from the bank into the water, and nearly two hours of searching, emergency crews confirmed a stolen vehicle that went into the water.

Authorities were unable to confirm whether there was anyone inside the vehicle.

The Lee's Summit Underwater Rescue Team and Missouri Water Patrol are helping Jackson County and Kansas City rescue workers.
