KANSAS CITY, Mo. – U.S. Marshals in Holt, Mo., arrested a California fugitive Wednesday who was wanted for multiple counts of rape.
The Superior Court of California, Riverside Division issued a warrant for Raymond Wallace Daniels May 5 on multiple counts of rape and forcible sexual intercourse with a minor.
It is alleged that Daniels repeatedly raped a child, who was less than 14 years of age, on multiple occasions.
The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office received several tips on Daniels’ whereabouts and learned that he may have been staying with a relative in Holt, a rural town north of Kansas City.
On June 4, U.S. Marshals set up surveillance outside of the residence and Daniels was seen leaving hours later.
Police conducted a felony traffic stop and Daniels was arrested.
Daniels is awaiting extradition to California.
