OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A fatal hit and run accident this weekend has neighbors worried about the speedy traffic along their street.

The Saturday morning accident in the 9800 block of West 99th Terrace killed 70-year-old Sandra Carocari.

Police said Carocari was working in her yard when a car hit her.

The 19-year-old girl driving the car left the scene, but came back about 30 minutes later.

Neighbors tell NBC Action News drivers speed through the area and they are fearful there could be another accident.

"It's an area we have to pay attention to and we respond to those complaints,'' Overland Park police spokesman Jim Weaver said. "We certainly have other problem areas, but this one certainly would be a place we come.''
