CAMERON, Mo. – A Northwest Missouri dog is lucky to be alive. He somehow survived life threatening injuries.
The dog’s name is Bullet. Sue Manion, who works at Safe Haven in Cameron, found Bullet about a month ago. He was bleeding and lying under a pickup truck. Workers at the local vet patched him up.
Bullet could barely walk. He had been shot four times. Manion thought he had brain damage. The dog has been spending the last couple of weeks at Wayside Waifs.
The dog seems to have been house trained, but there’s still a possibility that he might be a stray. He’s described as a friendly dog. Some people in town say he even walked kids to school every morning.
Before Bullet can find a new home, he has one more hurdle to cross. The dog is battling a case of heartworms, and it’s hopeful that he’ll recover soon.
