KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Friends of murder victim Kevin Beaver gathered Sunday afternoon at a Westport restaurant to remember him and to help raise some money to help his family.
Beaver was killed during a robbery attempt when he was walking to work at a Westport restaurant early in the morning on Dec. 6. According to police, Beaver, 40, was shot in the stomach near 44th and Genesse shortly. He ran a short distance, then collapsed and died shortly after being rushed to a hospital.
Police ask that anyone with information about the murder to call the TIPS Hotline, at (816) 474-TIPS.
As of Sunday afternoon, police had not made any arrests in the shooting.
