TOPEKA, Kan. – Two more Kansans have died after being infected with the pandemic H1N1, or Swine Flu, virus.
The death of a 34-year-old man from the Topeka was reported to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Nov. 2. He had no underlying health conditions to place him at greater risk of complications from influenza. He was confirmed to have pandemic H1N1 on Nov. 4.
A 58-year-old woman from southwest Kansas was confirmed to have pandemic H1N1 on Oct. 1, and her death was reported on Nov. 4. She did have underlying health conditions which placed her at greater risk for severe complications of influenza.
There are now 16 confirmed pandemic H1N1 deaths in Kansas.
This brings the total number of Kansas deaths to sixteen.

Operators will be available to answer questions from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Persons calling will be directed to press "1" on their touch-tone phone to be directed to an operator who can answer questions.
