DEARBORN, Mo. – A tractor trailer involved in an early-morning crash ended up in a ditch just off the road.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 29 at mile marker 31 in Dearborn around 5:15 a.m.
A second tractor trailer was involved, but suffered no noticeable damage. One of the trucks was carrying milk and the other was transporting about 46,000 pounds of soda, according to the Highway Patrol.
Both directions of the highway are open, but only one southbound lane was getting by around 7:27 a.m. The area is not heavily traveled and it is not causing too much problems for commuters.
Authorities report one person was transported with unspecified injuries from the scene.
We’re working on gathering more details and will post them here as soon as they become available.
