INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – A motorcycle crash killed a driver early Saturday morning.

The crash occurred just before midnight at Truman Road and Glenwood Ave.

Witnesses say the driver was speeding westbound on Truman Road when he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver was pronounced dead later at Centerpoint Medical Center, and his identity has not yet been released.

The crash is under investigation by the Independence Police, but they believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.

No further information was available as of Saturday night.
