Hutchinson Routs G-E for Sixth Straight Title

EMPORIA, Kan.- The Hutchinson Salt Hawks took their place in history as one of the greatest programs of all time. They beat Gardner-Edgerton 52-14 for the Kansas Class 5A State Championship. Hutchinson has now won a record six straight state titles.

The Trailblazers actually led 14-7 in the second quarter. Hutch responded by rattling off 45 unanswered points. Devon Dinwiddie led the way with 219 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries. He also caught a touchdown pass.

The Salt Hawks finish a perfect 13-0. Gardner-Edgerton wraps up the season at 12-1.
