KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NFL has confirmed the 13 opponents the Kansas City Chiefs will face in the 2010 regular season.
Along with home-and-home series with Denver, Oakland and San Diego – the Chiefs’ AFC West counterparts – the Chiefs will play host to Arizona, Buffalo, Jacksonville, San Francisco and Tennessee, while traveling to Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Seattle.
The Chiefs’ opponents are determined by a process which includes two games against divisional opponents and one game each against the AFC South, NFC West and the other two AFC teams to finish in last place in their division.
The Chiefs, who have played St. Louis each preseason since 2001, will meet the Rams for just the fifth time since they moved from California to St. Louis in 1995. Kansas City has won the previous four games against the Rams in that time.
The Chiefs’ trip to Seattle will be their first since 2002, the year the Seahawks moved from the AFC West to the NFC West.
The complete 2010 NFL regular season schedule, including dates times and preseason opponents will be determined at a later date.
