KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Michael Scott Bridges, 45 of Kansas City, Kan. was arrested Wednesday for deceptive commercial practices.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Onaga Police Department for a complaint on March 5, 2009.  The victim provided a check to Bridges in the amount of $9,286 who had been doing business as Windows Depot USA of Northeast Kansas.  Bridges allegedly failed to provide windows to the victim, Mary Boren of Onaga.

Bridges allegedly had been misrepresenting himself as a Windows Depot licensee affiliated with Windows Depot USA out of Little Rock, Arkansas.  According to Windows Depot USA their relationship with Bridges had been terminated in January of 2009.

Bridges was the focus of an NBC Action News Call for Action story in Kansas City on March 25 after another Kansas City resident complained of losing $1500.  A Pottawatomie County Warrant was issued for the arrest of Bridges and a cash bond was set at $9,286.

Bridges, who is also a registered sex offender in Wyandotte County, was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail on Wednesday night.
