The common cold is a viral infection of the upper respiratory passages. Unfortunately, over 200 different viruses can cause colds, making it virtually impossible to develop a vaccine or cure.
When to see a doctor for flu
Influenza produces symptoms such as mild fever, coughing, muscle aches, sore throat, headache, stuffy nose, nausea, and watery eyes. In most cases, you just treat the symptoms, and let the virus run its course.
