Police: Man sexually assaults woman in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kansas - Police say the man in the photo is suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in Lawrence early Thursday morning.

The man approached two women walking in the 700 block of Massachusetts around 12:40 a.m. Thursday and sexually assaulted one of the women.

The 23-year-old victim told police the man approached her from behind, put his arm around her, and sexually assaulted her.

She reported the attack was quick and the man fled the scene. While calling police, the two women followed the man for a short time.

Police say the man in the photo is the suspect. The photo was taken from a private security camera in an alley in the 800 block of Massachusetts Street.
