KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- While Kansas City is enjoying a cool summer Seattle, Washington is setting all time highest temperature records.
Seattle just had the warmest morning in the city's history with 71º for the low, and then they had their highest temperature in 115 years of recorded history Wednesday afternoon when it reached 102º at the airport.
The temperature reached 105º in Portland, Oregon. Contrast the Pacific Northwest heat with the fact that New York City is having their second coolest July on record and Kansas City will likely have its third coolest July ever recorded.
This weather pattern will likely continue into August and we will be tracking these developments at your #1 source for weather information, NBC Action News.
