Flooding Closes Some MO Highways

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Recent rain has caused some low-lying areas to become flooded, closing some Missouri highways.

As of Thursday evening, the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has closed several roads in Platte County.  Flooding along the Platte River has caused them to close Route E from Route DD to Route B; and Route B is closed from Route Z to Missouri Highway 92.

Also in Platte County, Route KK is closed at the intersection with Route B to Route 169, four miles south of Ridgely.

In Johnson County, Missouri, Route 23 is closed at the Blackwater River Bottoms, five miles south of Concordia.
