Isolated thunderstorms rolled through the metro Thursday morning, but Brett says those should soon dissipate and we’ll see hot and sunny weather until at least this afternoon, when we could see another round of storms.
The Excessive Heat Warning has been in effect since Monday. Brett says it is issued when the heat index is expected to top 105 for three consecutive hours.
According to Brett, we won’t see a cool-down until Saturday night, when temperatures will begin to drop slightly. By Sunday, we’ll see highs only in the mid-80s.
Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, ESPECIALLY if you’ll be outside for an extended period of time in the next few days.
