Thunderstorms are exiting fast from the metro, but we will end up in the heat later this afternoon.

Today, we have a high temperature of 85 degrees and a low of 75 tonight. But you’ll feel sticky and muggy with 94 percent humidity this afternoon. However, it will be less humid late this evening.

NBC Action Weather Meteorologist Brett Anthony says where there are not many thunderstorms, the heat will surge in.

Some areas to the north will be in the 80s while areas in the south will approach 100 degrees.

Brett says a cold front will arrive late tonight with a chance of thunderstorms. Check the NBC Action Weather Blog as the Weather Team tracks this complex forecast.

You can expect another chance of thunderstorms early Wednesday and then partly cloudy with a high of 85 degrees.
