MISSION, Kan. –- Holiday shoppers headed to the Country Club Plaza have a
new shuttle service available this year.
The City of Mission, Kan. and the Johnson County Transit Agency have teamed up to offer the service from the Johnson County offices at 60th and Lamar to the Plaza on weekends.
Shuttles will run every 20 minutes and fares are $1 per ride.
Shuttle hours are Fridays from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to 11:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 8:30 p.m.
The shuttle is not limited to Mission residents and anyone can ride. Riders can park at the Northeast Johnson County Offices parking lot, 6000 Lamar and ride from there.
Riders can also signal the shuttle to stop along the Johnson Drive portion of the route.
Shoppers from the Plaza area can also take the shuttle to visit Mission businesses and shops.
