This year, Saturday Night Live star and Kansas City native Jason Sudeikis got to flip the switch.
Featured performers included several area high schools and the "House of Rock" band featuring Kansas City kids. Also featured were dancers from Paseo Academy and a 3D tribute to the Salvation Army.
Those wanting a good parking got their spaces early. One eager Kansas Citian got his parking space for his RV at 6 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. He wanted to make sure his grandchildren had a good view of the ceremony.
