WASHINGTON, D.C. – History was made when Sen. Barack Obama was elected as the 44th President of the United States. But going to see him inaugurated could cost you.

While the 250,000 tickets to the event are free, they are mostly given to congressional members and their staff.

However, an online search found several ticket brokers selling what is being called the hottest ticket in town, for $20,377.

“We think it's absolutely insane to be selling those tickets. We understand some people wanna try to make a buck but for those people thinking of buying tickets it's buyer beware,” said Howard Gantman, a member of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.

Because the tickets are not distributed until the last minute, many ticket brokers may not be able to deliver as promised.
