WASHINGTON - First Lady Laura Bush shared some words of wisdom for the new First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Bush made an appearance on "Meet the Press" with Tom Brokaw Sunday morning.
"The main point I wanted to say to her is that the White House is a home. And it can be a very happy home for her and for her children and her husband. It certainly has been for us," said the First Lady.
During the interview, she also promised to continue working on women's rights issues in Afghanistan.
The Bushes plan to move back to Texas after January.
