Stray Bullet Kills 3 Year Old Girl

OWENSVILLE, Mo. – A 3 year old Missouri girl, hit in the head Monday by a stray bullet, has died. 

The little girl was visiting a friend on a farm in Owensville, west of St. Louis.

While walking hand-in hand with a family friend, looking at horses, a bullet struck Allison Schneider in the temple.  It reportedly came from someone shooting at targets some 300 yards away.

Allison was transported by helicopter to a hospital in St. Louis.  She died at 2:34pm Tuesday.

The person who fired the gun is cooperating with investigators.
