Missouri Solider Killed in Afghanistan

FORT DRUM, NY - A Missouri solider died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a non-combat incident in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Spc. Robert K. Charlton, 22, of Malden, Mo., died at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.

He suffered the injuries October 23 in Warduck, Afghanistan.

The incident is under investigation and no other details were released.

Charlton served with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Bridgade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.
