JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Governor Jay Nixon named a new head of the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Monday.
Major Ronald Replogle is a 26 year veteran of the Highway Patrol. He has been the director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control since 2001.
Replogle spent more than three years as an investigator and assistant director with the Professional Standards Division.
Nixon said that Replogle was “the right person for this position of great responsibility.”
Col. James Keathley, the current superintendent, is retiring after more than 30 years in the Highway Patrol. Keathley has been superintendent since 2006.
Replogle still must be confirmed by the State Senate.
