WICHITA, Kan., -- Three California men were charged with drug trafficking after authorities seized an airplane that landed in Liberal, Kan., carrying more than 125 pounds of cocaine.

Eric Wayne McPeters, 30, Dean Bryan Moya, 40, and Richard Allen Vickery, 31, all from Hemet Calif., were indicted with one count of possession with the intent to distribute in U.S. District Court Wednesday.

Court documents show that on Oct. 22, 2009, a Cessna 210D landed at the Liberal Airport.  Homeland Security's Air Marine Operations Center tracked the plane that was flying from New Mexico to Kansas.  The pilot's medical certificate had been revoked due to drug useage.

Investigators executed a search warrant and discovered the cocaine in two large suitcases onboard the plane.

If convicted, the defendants face a penalty of 10 years in prison and a $4 Million fine.
