WAKEFIELD, Kan. - Funeral plans have been announced for former Kansas Governor William Avery.
Avery died Nov. 4th at the age of 98.
Services will be held in the northeast Kansas town of Wakefield where Avery grew up.
Visitation will be Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wakefield United Methodist Church.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Avery was a University of Kansas graduate and served as the Kansas governor in from 1965 to 1966.
