OLATHE, Kan. - A Johnson County judge Tuesday ruled there was sufficient evidence for a woman to face trial in the death of her baby.
Alice Zeorlin, 25, of Overland Park, is accused of first degree murder in the May 31 incident at her home.
Zeorlin allegedly killed the baby by asphyxiation in a basement bedroom after giving birth.
The prosecution put on five witnesses Tuesday, including police officers and Zeorlin's mother.
A motions hearing in the case is set for March.
