Teen Pleads Guilty in Death of Homeless Man

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City, Kan., teenager pleaded guilty Wednesday in the death of a homeless man.

Isaiah Betts, 17, pleaded guilty in Jackson County Court to involuntary manslaughter, according to a court spokesperson.

Betts punched Dwayne Smith, a homeless man, after an argument following an incident on a bus.

Smith tried to walk away, but Betts punched him and Smith fell into the street.

A car later hit and killed him.

Sentencing is set for December 18.
