Suspect Captured After Carjacking and Chase

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Police arrested one person after a carjacking and chase in KCK Tuesday.

It started around 8:30 in the area of 59th and Leavenworth Road when a woman's car was stolen with her child inside, according to police. 

Police then picked up and followed the car.  The baby was dropped off after a crash on the 18th Street Viaduct.  The suspect took off again and crashed for a second time at 22nd and Shawnee Drive.

No injuries were reported.  The suspect was taken into custody.  No word on what charges he faces.
