LEXINGTON, Mo. - The sixth suspect charged Friday in the growing child sexual abuse case in Lafayette County, Mo. will appear in a Florida courtroom Saturday for his initial hearing.

Darrel Wayne Mohler, 72, of Silver Springs, Fla., faces two counts of forcible rape. Authorities announced Friday afternoon that there was an arrest warrant out for him. Friday evening, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department captured him.

Darrel was stopped just before pulling into his driveway in Silver Springs, Fla. He was arrested without incident.

Darrel reportedly told deputies that he was aware of what was going on in Missouri and that he had not been in Missouri since the 80’s.

Darrel is in custody in the Marion County Jail. He will remain in jail, until authorities from Lafayette County decide what’s next.

According to Florida authorities, Darrel will appear in court at 1 p.m. EST for a preliminary hearing. A Silver Springs judge familiar with the case said an extradition hearing could come as soon as Monday or Tuesday of next week.

On Saturday morning, the judge said Darrel was being held in the jail's infirmary, though he did elaborate on Darrel's condition.

Darrel is the younger brother of Burrell E. Mohler Sr., who also faces multiple charges in the case.

Darrel also is accused of having sex with his relatives.

The alleged crimes occurred in the late 1980's in a house in Bates City, Mo.

The victims were less than 10 years old.

Thursday night, hours after Burrell E. Mohler Sr., and his four sons made their first court appearance on charges of multiple sex crimes against children, a man was arrested in connection to the allegations. However, Larry Kidd, 55, from Kansas City, was later released on Friday.  Authorities say he is cooperating in the case. No other details were released.
