Police Find Shooting Victim, 18, Dead in Street

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are trying to solve a deadly shooting in the city’s historic Northeast District.

Officials responded to a shots fired call just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.  When they got to the 4000 block of St. John Avenue, they found a man lying dead in the street.

He was identified later as 18-year-old Rodney Coleman, of Kansas City.

Detectives haven’t released a suspect description.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the TIPS hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
