Indy Police Seek Attempted Robbery Suspect

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Police are trying to track down the man who tried to rob a U.S. Bank Tuesday morning.

At 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect entered the bank at 110 E. U.S. 24 Highway and approached the teller. He then proceeded to demand money from the teller. The suspected robber was unsuccessful and left the bank empty handed. Police are unsure if a weapon was used during the attempted robbery because no one reported seeing one.

Police ask anyone with information about the attempted bank robbery, know the suspect or his whereabouts to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474 - TIPS (8477).
