KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Samuel Smith used a credit card to buy child porn over the Internet.

The paper trail left by his transactions led to a guilty plea Monday in federal court.

Smith, 22, of Platte City, admitted received child pornography over the Internet, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Kansas City.

He used his credit card to subscribe to Pedo Heaven and Dreamzone from which he downloaded the porn.

Investigators figured out who processed the credit card transactions and that helped lead them to Smith, according to the news release.

Smith used a credit card to buy about $80 worth of child porn in April 2008.

Law officers found hundreds of images of child pornography on Smith's computer, including movies featuring child porn, according to the news release.

Smith faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison without parole.

No sentencing date has been set.
