2nd Teen Dies from Friday Night Shooting

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A shooting Friday night left one KCK teenager dead and now his brother passed away from injuries sustained in the same shooting.

Gerson Diaz-Turcios, 19, was pronounced dead Friday night and his brother Jose Diaz-Turcios, born Nov. 15, 1992, died over the weekend, police said Monday.

They were both shot around 8:20 p.m. near 18th and Central streets in Kansas City, Kan.

Two men have been charged in the shooting. Eldier Molina, 20, is being held on $10,000 bond in the Wyandotte County Jail while 18-year-old Juan Lopez remains on the run.

Both men were charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. An update on their charges was not immediately available.
