2 Sentenced in Large-Scale Cocaine Distribution

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two Mexican nationals will spend the next few years in federal prison for their role in a cocaine distribution ring in Kansas City.'

Felipe Garcia-Lopez and Humberto Saucedo-Lobatos were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Garcia-Lopez was sentenced to 10 years without parole, and Saucedo-Lobatos received nine years without parole.

The men pleaded guilty in March to the charge of conspiracy to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine.

The government believes the men smuggled more than $10 million worth of cocaine from Mexico to Kansas City for distribution.
