KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Police Department and other agencies are helping you get rid of prescription pills.
On Saturday in Liberty, they will take any type of medicine and properly dispose of them.
Proper disposal is important so people don’t flush them down the toilet and possible contaminate waterways and so that pills don’t get into the wrong hands. “Right now they are easier to get than any type of substance," Clay County Prosecutor Dan White said.
The event will be Saturday from Northeast 82
nd Terrace and North Ditzler, across from the JC Penny’s in Liberty. It runs from 10 am to 6 pm.
