Section of Locust Closed for Sewer Repair

Last Update: 11/07/2009 1:33 pm
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The need to repair a portion of sewer has forced the Water Services Department to close a section of Locust Street from 11th to 12th Streets through 6 a.m. Monday.

The closure started Friday night as crews replace and repair 10 feet of 18-inch clay sewer line.

Following the replacement and repair of the sewer line, a solid, cured-in-place liner will be installed in the sewer at a later date for Phase II of the repair of the sewer line.
