Mowing In November Is Vital For Your Lawn

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It is November and by now you might think should be able to put away the lawnmowers.

But it is more important than ever to continue mowing.

In the summer you should mow at the highest notch possible because it helps protect the grass roots from extreme heat.

We mow lower in the Fall so the grass won't become matted down in the winter which can cause winter disease such as snow mold.

Fescue Lawns should be mowed at 2 1/2 to 3 inches, Bluegrass lawns 2 1/2 Inches, Zoysia and Bermuda lawns should be mowed at 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

Also because of all the extra sticks, leaves and items we have falling on the ground our mower blades are getting pretty dinged up.

Be sure to sharpen them.
