Crashing A Mole Hill

Last Update: 10/24 12:03 pm
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Homeowners across the metro are facing a mole problem, and it has nothing to do with spies.

Moles can dig tunnels at the rate of 12 to 15 feet per hour as they look for food like grubs and earth worms. Their shallow tunnels can make a mess of your lawn and hurt plants.

You'll generally know if you have moles by feeling soft earth under your feet where they dig their tunnels or you'll see mole hills.

The easiest way to get rid of moles is to use a granular product like Mole Max. These products are safe and their scent repels moles from your lawn and it's easy to apply with a spreader. For lawns half an acre or larger you will want to catch them with a harpoon trap.
