KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Previously announced cuts to Kansas City bus services take effect this week.

Beginning Sunday, two KCATA routes are discontinued and several other routes have adjustments in scheduled times.

The cuts come in response to a budget shortfall of more than $9 million caused by a cut in funding and drop in sales tax revenue from Kansas City.

The two routes that no longer running will be #257-Santa Fe Hills Connector and #258-Longview Connector.

Twenty-two routes will run with reduced frequency or will have discontinued service at certain times of the day or on weekends. You can see the list below.

KCATA suggests checking schedules in advance, either online at www.kcata.org or by calling the Regional Call Center between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays at  (816) 221-0660 .
