Kevin Souter is Scottish, but he does not play the bagpipes and he has never seen the Loch Ness Monster. What he does is play soccer really well.
Souter, a midfielder for the KC squad, was good enough to beat out 200 other soccer players at open tryouts in 2008 to secure a roster slot with the Wizards in 2009.
Souter scored his first goal against Toronto in a win last season, and hopes to score a goal this 4th of July against the Houston Dynamo.
Kansas City hosts Houston at Community America Ballpark in what organizers are calling a "Wizards 4th of July Spectacular" starting at 8pm. A Wizards spokesperson calls the after game fireworks "KC's Largest Fireworks Dispaly".
