LEAWOOD, Kan. - The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting Thursday night to get feedback on a proposal to shut down the Leawood Post Office.
The
Johnson County Sun reported Wednesday that officials were considering closing the location at 95
th Street and Mission Road because mail volume and Postal Service revenues have both fallen.
The 95
th and Mission branch has been open since 1961.
The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public hearing on the issue from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Leawood United Methodist Church, 2915 W. 95
th Street.
