Jayhawks Win Preseason Opener

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Kansas Jayhawks got off to a successful start on their exhibition schedule Tuesday night in Lawrence.
        
Kansas defeated the Fort Hays State Tigers 107-68.
        
Preseason All-Americans Sherron Collins scored a game-high 19 points, and Cole Aldrich had a double-double.

The Jayhawks used a height advantage to out-rebound the Tigers 47-34 and they also recorded 10 blocked shots, including three each by Markieff Morris and Aldrich.

Kansas improved to 52-7 in all-time exhibition games and won its 24th straight practice game dating back to the 1995 season.

Six Jayhawks scored in double figures and all ten players who saw action scored.
 
For their next exhibition game, Kansas will host Pittsburg State Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
