Jasper's All-American Watermelon Recipes

All American Watermelon Salad

3 Cups watermelon cubed
2 green onions minced
4 oz. Wisconsin Feta Cheese
3 tsp. Balsamic Syrup
2 Tbl. Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Place cubed watermelon in bowl. Add onions and olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. Toss. Add cheese and balsamic syrup. Gently toss.

Chill 1 hour and serve.

Watermelon BBQ Sauce

2 Cups Watermelon
2 Tbl. Butter
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 cup onion minced
2 oz. Apple juice
3 Cups Catsup
3 tabl. Brown sugar
Jalapino Pepper to taste
1 tsp. BBQ Seasoning
salt to taste

In a sauce pan, melt butter on medium heat. Add watermelon & onion and saute. Add jalapinoand garlic, do not burn. Add brown sugar and catsup. Mix in seasoning, add your own favorite.

Remove from stove. Cool. Place in Mason Jar.

Serve on your favorite BBQ dish, pulled pork, ribs, beef etc...
